Websites for plasterers, built before you pay.
I build websites for plasterers in Worcestershire and across the UK. Nobody can see a good skim from the street, so the website has to show it for you. I build yours first, finished, and you only pay if you want it: £650, or nothing. I trained in plumbing and heating and ran my own firm with 7 full-time staff, so I know the trades.

Luke Cross Plastering, a plasterer near Bridgwater, is one of my live sites: one page built from photos of his own jobs, with every one of his Google reviews on it, word for word, and his number at the top. Yours is built the same way, first, so you judge your own site and not a promise.

“If you're a small business needing a website, I'd definitely recommend him.”
Read it in full
Brilliant website and great support throughout. Archie built a new website for my fitness business and I'm really pleased with it. It's clean, looks professional and is easy to find your way around, which is exactly what I wanted.
I'm not techy at all, but Archie helped me through the whole process and explained everything I needed to do in plain English. Nothing was too much trouble. If you're a small business needing a website, I'd definitely recommend him.
I’ll build it first. You decide after.
Tell me the trade name, the town you work out of, and the jobs you want more of. I send you three homepage designs within a day, then build the whole website in the one you pick, every page written, usually in about 2 days, and send you a link. Look at it in your own time, with whoever else has a say.
If you want it, it’s £650: a £162.50 deposit once you’re happy with the design, and the rest within 7 days of it going live. If you don’t, say so and it comes down. You pay nothing, and I won’t follow it up.
What is yours, and the small print
- Your domain (your web address, like yourbusiness.co.uk) is bought in your name, on your card. About £10 a year, paid to the company you buy it from, not to me. I send you a one-page guide to buying it.
- Every login is handed over in writing once it is paid for, and the hosting moves to an account in your name at no cost. Nothing is locked to me.
- No monthly fee unless you choose monthly care: £29 a month for up to five changes, stop any time.
- If you change your mind after saying yes, the 25% is kept for the work done. If I can’t get it live for a reason on my side, it comes back in full.
- You pay by bank transfer to the account named on the invoice. My bank details will never change by message.
What plasterers need from a website.
Your own walls, in the right light
A flat wall is about the hardest thing there is to photograph. Shoot it with the daylight coming across it, not straight at it, and a skim that is flat looks flat. Better still, the same room twice: the cracked and patched wall last Monday, the smooth one on Friday. That pair does more selling than anything written underneath it.
Artex, asked and answered
Anybody with a textured ceiling put up before 2000 has read that it might have asbestos in it. Say what you do about that: whether you have it tested first, and whether you skim over it, board over it or take it down. That one paragraph stops the enquiry going to the plasterer who did mention it.
When can I paint it?
The question on every single job. Answer it on the site, in your own words: roughly how long a skim takes to dry in a warm room, and that new plaster wants a mist coat before the proper paint goes on. Customers forward that page to whoever is decorating, and it saves you a phone call a job.
Mess, said out loud
The fear with plastering is dust through the house and splashes on the new carpet. Say how you protect floors, stairs and furniture and how you leave the room at the end of the day. It is a short paragraph, and it is the one people read twice.
One page per job, not one page for plastering
Skimming, full re-plasters, boarding and dry lining, Artex removal, rendering, coving. Different searches, different money, different worries. Somebody pricing a rendered gable end is not reading about patching a ceiling, and separate pages give the search engines something to actually rank.
Your real area, named
About ten miles round the town you work out of, with the places listed. “The Midlands” tells nobody anything and brings you enquiries that are an hour and a half each way. A drawn map with the river, the motorway and the towns on it does the job better than an embedded Google map, and it loads instantly.
What usually goes wrong.
Already got a website? Check your current one
Plenty of good plasterers have no website at all: a Facebook page full of finished rooms and a Google listing with no site on it, so anybody who searches “plasterer near me” ends up with somebody else.
The sites that do exist have the same faults over and over. The number is not a link, so nobody can tap it to call.
No town is named. The gallery is a trowel and a bucket from a stock library, or rooms shot in flat yellow light where every wall looks the same. Nothing about Artex, nothing about drying times, nothing about mess. And the enquiry form goes to an inbox nobody has opened since the day it was set up.
Fair questions, answered plainly.

Fair questions
What should a plasterer’s website show?
Photographs of your own finished walls and ceilings, ideally the same room before and after, what you do about Artex, how you protect the house, and the towns you cover.
Should I mention Artex on my website?
Yes. Textured ceilings put up before 2000 can contain asbestos, and the customer has usually read that already. Say whether you have it tested first, and what you do either way.
Most of my work is word of mouth. Do I still need a website?
Yes. The person you were recommended to looks you up before they get in touch, and the website is what they find. More on why word of mouth still needs a website.
How much does a plasterer’s website cost?
£0 to see it. £650 for the website built and live on your own domain: £162.50 when you say yes and £487.50 within 7 days of it going live. Or £900 with a year of changes, up to five a month. A one-page website is £350.
How long does it take?
Three homepage designs within a day, then usually about 2 days to build. Then you look at it in your own time, before deciding anything. Once you say yes, it goes live within 3 working days of your last change, and within 14 days at most.
What’s the catch?
Here is everything it can cost you. If it’s a no, nothing. If it’s a yes, 25% to go ahead: it is kept if you change your mind before the site goes live, and refunded in full if I can’t get it live for a reason on my side. The rest is due within 7 days of it going live. Your domain is about £10 a year, paid by you. Changes after it goes live are £50 for up to five, unless you have the year of changes or monthly care, and you send them to me: there is no editor to log into. And nobody can promise you a place on Google, me included.
