AS Web Design

A website for Paul Armstrong Fitness, built around his Messenger.

Paul is a personal trainer in Alcester. He runs group classes, junior sessions, one-to-one training, strength and conditioning for a local rugby club, and a six-week programme called the KickStart Method. His customers already message him on Facebook, so the website sorts each visitor into the right service, then sends them to Messenger, where he replies.

What Paul said about it.

Posted on Google (opens in a new tab) on 7 October 2026. Quoted word for word, in full.

Brilliant website and great support throughout. Archie built a new website for my fitness business and I'm really pleased with it. It's clean, looks professional and is easy to find your way around, which is exactly what I wanted.

I'm not techy at all, but Archie helped me through the whole process and explained everything I needed to do in plain English. Nothing was too much trouble. If you're a small business needing a website, I'd definitely recommend him.

Paul Armstrong, Paul Armstrong Fitness

Paul had owned paularmstrongfitness.co.uk since April 2024, but anyone who typed it in got his host’s “under construction” page.

The only working part of his domain was a sales funnel on a subdomain, run on an agency’s platform he did not control.

He also sells four quite different things to four quite different people: weight loss at home in two twenty-minute slots, a coached class in a group, a coach to yourself, and strength and conditioning for a rugby club’s senior squad. On Facebook they all arrive as the same message. The website had to sort each visitor into the right one, say what it involves, and then hand them to Messenger.

What is on it.

Ten pages: Home, KickStart Method, Classes, Juniors, 1-to-1 and Sport, About and Contact, plus a thank-you page, a privacy notice and a 404 page. Everything on them points at the one place Paul already answers: Messenger.

archiespencer.com/work/paul-armstrong#why

Why it is built the way it is.

  1. Messenger, not a contact form

His customers already message him on Facebook and he already answers there. Every main button opens Messenger, so the website adds no extra step.

  2. A picker instead of four menus

Four services, and most people cannot tell which one is theirs. Three taps name one, explain it, and fill in the enquiry form with the answer.

  3. The feed loads on tap

Facebook’s embed sets cookies as soon as it loads. It sits behind a button, so a visitor who never presses it never gets one.

  4. The weight-loss numbers came off

His old funnel promised a set amount of weight lost in a set number of weeks, which section 13 of the CAP Code does not allow. The site leans on his own approach instead: no calorie counting and no banned foods.

  5. Photographs from his albums

The first version used frames taken from his reels, which were blurry and caught him mid-sentence. His profile and cover pictures are proper shoots, so those were used instead.

I’ll build it first. You decide after.

Tell me what your business does and where. If you already have a website, I rebuild it, so you can put the two side by side. I send you three homepage designs within a day, then build the whole website in the one you pick, every page written, usually in about 2 days, and send you a link. Look at it in your own time, with whoever else has a say.

If you want it, it’s £650: a £162.50 deposit once you’re happy with the design, and the rest within 7 days of it going live. If you don’t, say so and it comes down. You pay nothing, and I won’t follow it up.

What is yours, and the small print

  • Your domain (your web address, like yourbusiness.co.uk) is bought in your name, on your card. About £10 a year, paid to the company you buy it from, not to me. I send you a one-page guide to buying it.
  • Every login is handed over in writing once it is paid for, and the hosting moves to an account in your name at no cost. Nothing is locked to me.
  • No monthly fee unless you choose monthly care: £29 a month for up to five changes, stop any time.
  • If you change your mind after saying yes, the 25% is kept for the work done. If I can’t get it live for a reason on my side, it comes back in full.
  • You pay by bank transfer to the account named on the invoice. My bank details will never change by message.

Your business name, what you do and where. That is enough to start. I build it, send you the link, and it costs you nothing to see it.

You deal with me, Archie Spencer. I build every site myself. I reply within 24 hours.

Said yes on a call already? You don’t need this form. Your link comes through on WhatsApp.
